About Me

Welcome! I'm Rachel! I moved to Los Angeles in 2017, after living in Coronado CA, where my husband served as a Navy SEAL for 24 years. My love for photography started in 1999 when our first son, Dylan, was born. Over the years, and as our family grew, I continued to learn and grow in my technique using my children as inspiration. Over time I began to get requests from friends, family, and neighbors to capture their special moments. Although I started out photographing anything and everything, over time I discovered what I am truly passionate about. I love babies. No...I LOVE babies! Everything about them. Their sweet little details, the way they smile in their sleep, and the looks on their parent's faces when they gaze at their tiny creation. It brings me so much joy! I also specialize in engagements, maternity, high-school seniors, and headshots. My son, Justin is an actor and grew up doing local community theatre in San Diego. In order to become involved as a parent, I became the theatre's photographer, shooting hundreds of children's headshots over the next 10 years. When my son began working in Film and TV, he was using the headshots I had taken for him for theatre and was getting praise from his agents and managers about how well they worked for the industry as well. I began to see what was important in a headshot, as it is the most vital piece of equipment for an actor. I knew I wanted to offer that to other actors as well. 

When you hire me as your photographer, you're not just hiring me to take a photo. It is my desire to capture the romantic look between two people in love as they start their lives together, those first precious moments with a newborn baby, or the essence of a teenager about to take on the world. These are the moments I live for as a photographer. I would love to capture them for you.
